LABEL is a professional development program dedicated to advancing the artistic path of newly developing music artists. In Progress staff will identify 10 music artists, that already have experience working with In Progress and have completed 3 or more songs. This program is competitive and limited to a total of 10 participants. Participation is free.
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES:
Sharing of Songs –participants share songs, discuss themes within their music, and identify skill strengths/weaknesses.
Goal Planning – participants develop professional development goals that include technical skill building, performance and branding.
Skill Building – participants address specific areas addressed during goal planning to further develop skills in beat making, sound mixing, and performance technique.
Branding –media professionals provide mentorship in the area of translating each artist’s music style into visual form. Professionals partner with LABEL participants to create representative visual translations of their work.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
