MONDAYS: March 5 - April 9
6:30 - 8PM
Instructor: Xavier Tavera
Participants have the opportunity to learn how to organize their photo catalogs, identify quality images within the body of their work, and enhance images using photo programs like Adobe Light Room and Photo Shop. Participants will also be guided through a critical writing and presentation process around their artwork.
Mentorships are designed to provide intensive critique and guidance to practicing photographers seeking to advance their aesthetic storytelling ability. Mentorships are rigorous and require a commitment to attending all 6 sessions.
General activities focus on participant presentation, critique and practice in writing and production planning. In order to participate in mentorship sessions you must first meet with NEXUS staff and develop a set of concrete learning goals that you will work on during mentorship.
These sessions are open to the public but pre-registration is required as each session will be capped at 8 participants.
This event is made possible through the generous support of the McKnight Foundation.
