Join filmmaker Kang Vang for an introduction to screenwriting. This session will take the lessons learned from session 1 and apply it to the screenplay format. Participants will learn basic structures and guidelines that can use to make your writing flow easier and will cover the following:

Script Outline – Know the Rules Before Breaking Them;

Overview of standard 110 page screenplay “Hollywood Formula,”

ACT Breakdown,

The FOUR Act Screenplay ,

The BOARD: Laying out the different beats from your screenplay in a way so that you can visualize the scenes, story arcs, pieces of dialogue, and work out the problems even before you start writing it out,

SCENE breakdown: What goes into writing a scene, and how to connect one scene to the next.
