Join internationally recognized photographer and In Progress artist Xavier Tavera for an evening of images, conversation, and critical reflection. Tavera will share a selection of his photographic work alongside firsthand perspectives on documenting the Mexico–U.S. border, as well as Latinx immigrant and veteran communities. The photograph pictured is from Tavera’s series on deported veterans.

This artist talk explores the intersection of activism, the role of the visual historian, and the evolving art of photography.
