We Sing Our Songs is a collection of photographic works by emerging artists from Indigenous communities throughout Minnesota The works speak to the rich diversity that exists within every culture. It calls for everyone to watch and appreciate the traditions, values, aspirations and fears of the young artists that produced the contents of this exhibit. These works were all created through the use of digital cameras and computers and were then printed, framed and presented publicly.

FRAMED features the digital photography work of three outstanding new artists — Caitlin Connery, Cha Lor and Kao Na “Raynie” Vang. Together they have learned and created. They have taught one another by photographing and critiquing each other’s work. They have used their cameras to explore the inner workings of their minds and let loose upon the world their expressions of what it means to move from childhood to womanhood.
Saib Kuv - Watch Me, See The Hmong In Me exhibit is the product of three years of workshops, critical dialogues, and artmaking within the Twin Cities Hmong community. The artists represented in this catalog range from age six to twenty-nine. They came together as friends, relatives and artists to create a body of work that would reflect the ongoing journey of the Hmong people, as they migrate from Laos to Minnesota. The works themselves were produced through the use of digital photo cameras, computer manipulation, and in rare cases, mixed media elements.

Determination features the digital photography work of a small community of youth living in the village of Nett Lake. Each
image presented reflects the respect, pride, and sheer determination of the young people that have grown up in this community.
Fresh Voices features the digital photography work of a small community of Latino artists living in Crookston Minnesota. The images presented in this catalog reflect the pride, cultural understanding, and at times frustration carried by the young people that have grown up in this rural farm community. Crookston is located in the northwestern region of Minnesota and is home to several generations of Latino families.
