BIOGRAPHY

Hi I'm YK, i'm a female artist in Minnesota. In case your wondering what YK means it means Young Knowledge.  My mom help me come up with that name because i'm filled with a lot of knowledge, Alway's been a Straight A Student. iv'e always been a active and hyper type of girl, used and still am one of them girls who just like to move around and try new thing and keep a smile on my face and if i can find a way to keep a smile on others face as well. and I’m always up for trying new things.

I started doing music to express my feelings in some songs because I could never tell someone how I was feeling or what was wrong with me, so me writing music and trying to freestyle is one of my way I use to express my emotions when needed, an other times it's just to have fun with and try new things.I wanted my voice to be heard for who I really am and not some other person.

What inspired me to do music was that there was a lot of female and male artists in my family who loved to do music and were known all over Minnesota and were just out there. The school I enrolled in for high school was a performing arts high school that focused on music and the students excelling when it came to music and being in the music business weather they was making beats or working on vocals and it amazed me in ways and i decided to give music a try because i wanted to let my voice be heard for once and making music is one of my way for me to express my self or just to have fun with.

My Goals when it comes to my music is to support my family, friends and community and make my family proud of me and what I've done over time. and my other goal when it comes to my music is to get my voice heard for once instead of being always pushed away by people and i want to stand out and show another and a different side of me when it comes to my music weather its my active side, my fun side, me just going with the flow or just doing whatever
