BIOGRAPHY
I am Masyn. I go to Crookston High School. I am 15 years old.
I got involved with InProgress through my sister and after that I started participating often.
In the past, I got my picture taken that was based around and represented my dad. My dad left and it affected my family a lot emotionally. This photo helped me express how I felt and sometimes feel about it.
On my own time, I write a lot. It is usually poetry/spoken word. It may not be considered deep poetry, but it’s something I enjoy.
I plan to go off into the military. My older sister inspired me to get involved and consider going to military, because she is in the military herself and I look up to her a lot.

Not Yours
To live free should not mean to die slowly. Wanting to be free shouldn’t bring the consequences of living without parents.I’m not yours to take.
Without You
To be without you is to be without my first teacher. To not have you asking about me brings madness, sadness and questions. To be without you means to have a part of me gone.
You Can Do ANything
To be Latino is to be proud of who you are and where your ancestors came from. It does not mean you do not belong in this country. We as young people growing up in this nation, we have been taught that we can do anything if we believe in ourselves. We as U.S. citizen know this to be true and no one can take this away from us.
Wrestling
I feel cool! I am kissing my arm for my mom & for wrestling! I am a strong and talented wrestler! Wrestling is the pride in me.
