I Worry For His Future
This video captures Monique Arguelles's joyful memories of aunties who bring laughter, playfulness, and guidance into everyday life. Through birthday cake fights, shared advice, and moments of trust—like learning to drive—the story highlights aunties as people who show patience, humor, and understanding. It also reflects how love flows both ways, as care and support are returned through helping and showing up for one another.
What I love about my aunties is that they always make me laugh and keep me in a goofy mood. My aunties joke around a lot. When we get together for our birthdays, we end up having cake fights. Sometimes we all get dressed up, too.
My aunties give me advice—if I’m having trouble with something, they help me figure out what to do in that situation. I’m scared to drive with anyone except for one aunt, my Aunt Rina. She’s funny, smart, and kind. Sometimes she can be a little mean, but she’s always kind at heart.
I show my love by helping take care of her kids when she has to go to work or when she wants to do other things. Thank God. Thank you for listening.
