BIOGRAPHY

My name is Nicole Auginash I am a Film maker / Digital Photographer I love to write and also tell stories.

I lived in the twin cities my whole life I am Ojibway and Lakota Red Lake/ South Dakota nation

I want to teach youth Film making and Photography and also that the youth can do anything they put their mind to I first worked with in-progress in 2004 the program taught me to believe in my self

I made films that made it into film festivals in New York at the Smithsonian and other festivals. This program believed in me when I didn’t and never gave up on me.

Helping with youth and showing them the same love the program showed me it is a blessing to work with youth and I just want to be a positive role model to my daughter and others.

Growing up I knew the feeling of not having any role models.

I just want to teach and be a helpful person to youth we all need someone to believe in ourselves and that’s why I love In-progress because they believe in youth.

They never give up on the students and they also give them a positive opportunity to better their life for their future.
