BIOGRAPHY

Tari Baker is a space-holder, artist, and founder of Still & Steep Co., a gathering practice rooted in care, ritual, and slowness. Based in Minnesota, Tari has spent the past decade cultivating gentle and intentional spaces where people can pause, connect, and remember what it feels like to be fully present.

What began as simple tea parties—hosted in living rooms, backyards, and community spaces—grew from a personal joy into a communal offering. Tari’s deep love for gathering people around a table, paired with her intuitive attention to detail, transformed these early tea times into immersive, healing experiences. Whether it’s a carefully arranged floral centerpiece, a steaming cup of chai, or a handwritten note placed at each seat, every element of Tari’s events speaks to her belief that small details carry big meaning—and that beauty can be a form of care.

Over time, Still & Steep evolved into a multi-sensory experience that goes beyond tea. Tari began weaving together elements like sound baths, meditation, storytelling, art-making, and co-facilitated workshops, responding to what she witnessed again and again: people are craving connection and calm in an increasingly chaotic world. Her gatherings offer participants a moment to breathe, reflect, and return to themselves—a gentle but radical act of reclaiming time and softness.

At the heart of Tari’s work is a quiet philosophy: that meaningful ritual can live in the everyday, and that slowing down is not a luxury, but a necessity. Through Still & Steep Co., she continues to create restorative spaces that invite people into presence—where conversation flows, creativity is sparked, and the sacredness of slowness is honored.
