FILM

sony fx6 - cinema camera basics / April - may 2024

IP artist Kristine Sorensen will take a small group of artists through training on her SONHFX 6 Cinema camera. It is a complex camera that provides infinite possibilities in terms of quality image making, but the camera is not for the faint at heart. Sorensen will 3-4 artists through the technical ins and outs of camera operation as she herself is learning. Those that attend sessions regularly will gain access privileges to the camera for special projects. READ MORE

Cinema Technique offers a critical practicum in the use of 2 cinematic cameras available through In Progress for use by trained filmmakers. .These cameras - The Black Magic and the Canon EOS C70 are high quality cinematic cameras that lend themselves well to professional narrative and documentary filmmakers. The workshop series takes participants through in-depth training the technical application of these cameras and the tools that are used around them to take your visual storytelling to the next level. PREPARING TO EDIT / SUMMER 2024 (date pending)

This cohort establishes a foundation for filmmakers preparing for their first documentary or narrative film project. So many artists jump in head first into making movies without really considering all the small but significant aspects of what is needed in order for editing to go smoothly. These sessions will focus on building a foundational understanding of the relationships between script, production planning, photography and editing. READ MORE.

Space Jam (SUMMER/FALL 2024)

SPACE JAM is a recurring jam session and open mic event for artists of all musical disciplines and all skill levels. It creates a collaborative environment in which beat making/writing is at the center, providing a safe platform for sharing around it.
