DIGITAL KIDS


TELLING STORIES THROUGH THE ART OF CLAYMATION

Digital Kids is an introductory workshop to the art of digital storytelling dedicated to children age 12 and under and supporting family members. Participants work in family units to write a story that they then illustrate using cameras, audio equipment and iMovie editing software. This is an introductory level workshop designed to introduce basic storytelling concepts that is centered within the values of the families participating.

Lead Artists

Studio 110 artist and local educator Regina Zapata will lead this activity. Regina introduced this model in 2021. This will represent a fourth session of digital storytelling.

SCHEDULE

  • Thursday, July 11th, 5-7PM

  • Thursday, July 18th, 5-7PM

  • Thursday, July 25th, 5-7PM

  • Individual production sessions scheduled for photography and editing with participants

  • Thursday, August 15th 5-7PM

Location

All activity will take place at In Progress - Studio 110 / 110 South Main Street, Crookston MN. 56716

Registration

Room is limited to 8 youth participants, so please make sure you register early. It will also be important that you commit to most if not all of the Saturday sessions. Upon conclusion of the project, Studio 110 will share completed videos with the public.
