Deanna drift

Community Organizer & leader

Deanna Drift j is a member of the Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe. Until recently she worked for the University of Minnesota Duluth as a secondary advisor to Native American students and continues to serve as an advisory leader.

Qualifications

Deanna Drift is a lifelong supporter of In Progress having made her first video in 1987 to address issues of racism at her school. She served 12 years on In Progress’s board of directors, and has stayed active in supporting community based digital storytelling activities in tribal nations.
