BIOGRAPHY

Noah Dynes, who also goes by Tobi, is a multidisciplinary artist, comedian, writer, and emerging film director based in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. His creative journey began at an early age, developing an interest in art around the age of five. Since then, he has continued to explore a wide range of mediums, including digital art, painting, and written work, often sharing his creations within close personal circles while steadily expanding his practice.

Tobi draws significant inspiration from surrealist traditions, particularly the work of Salvador Dalí and other artists who challenge conventional perceptions of reality. Working primarily with acrylics and varnish, he transforms everyday objects and familiar scenes into imaginative, dreamlike compositions. His paintings often incorporate layered symbolism, inviting viewers to interpret and question the altered realities he presents.

Beyond visual art, Tobi’s creative voice extends into comedy and writing, where he explores narrative, timing, and perspective—skills that continue to inform his growing interest in filmmaking. As an emerging director, he is developing a storytelling style that bridges humor, abstraction, and visual experimentation.

As part of the In Progress community, Tobi is focused on deepening his artistic practice while building connections with other creatives. He is committed to sharing his work more broadly and continuing to evolve as an artist across disciplines, with the goal of bringing his distinct perspective to wider audiences.
