BIOGRAPHY

My name is Jemiyra Kennedy. I am a young professional and creator. I am born and raised in Saint Paul, MN.  Here’s a bit about me and my brand! As an independent contractor I use my brand to encourage wellness, showing integrity, sharing my family oriented way of living, and love of travel.

I am a cosmetologist. I am the founder and executive of Unhidden Looks. My business was designed to assist people with their hair, skin and nails. The services I provide under Unhidden Looks are some of the things that I have been passionate about since the age of 15. So, shortly after enrolling at the Minnesota School of Cosmetology, I turned my passions into an official business in 2018. The growth of my business has allowed me to not only establish a loyal client base but connect with so many men, women and children. I have been solely sustainable in growing by word of mouth advertisement.

I am also a mentor and life coach. Starting in High school, I was given the opportunity to assist peers with navigating through life events while being present in curriculum. The experience helped me realize I have wisdom to offer. I have been an artist and mentor since 2019 with In Progress. In Progress has allows me to develop my creative skills Here I have taken behind the camera workshops, along with music production workshops. From there, I began to assist artist with learning equipment and techniques I learned through the NEXXUS Program. I am the artist I am today because of resources provided by In Progress. My expertise is in music composition, production, branding, and personal development. One of the notable services I was able to do include confidence through vocal training video sessions and workshops with the city of Saint Paul Library with the Kaleidoscope: Little Learners segment. 

In addition, I am a model and blogger. My blog allows others to experience my daily adventures and witness my daily lifestyle practices. Giving insight of the aspects of wellness, my cosmetology knowledge and lifestyle. I am also a youtube content creator and social media manager. I have written pieces for blogs such as Hairscripts and Living Ebony. Modeling is an art of expression. My contribution has been for conveying aesthetic, fashion and emotion. I have worked with D & A talents(2019). 

I am currently working to structure my life around self sustainability. I am an aspiring farm owner. I would like to document the process of owning a farm as a millennial and minority.
