Eemanna was born on October 20th 1998 in South Minneapolis.  She started writing music at the age of 13.  Soon after she began learning about recording at Powderhorn Parks music studio. She then connected to In Progress and continued learning basic recording techniques eventually becoming a teaching artist.  Today she continues to learn and practice her skills as a music artist, growing and developing with the new artists she meets.

Eemanna was greatly inspired by the musicians she and her family listened to growing up. Classic Soul,  RnB, African genres, Reggaeton and Hip-Hop all heavily influenced her style and world view.  As she grew up she discovered artists for herself and realized the impact music can have for those struggling. She developed a deep appreciation for the message and soul of the music she listened to and was inspired to create.  The genre she ended up resonating most with as a creative was Hip Hop and she has pursued it ever since. Eemanna hopes her music will inspire new audiences and give them the opportunity to connect with new ideas and her messages in the same ways she has with the music she discovers.

I am an aspiring multimedia artist inspired by art from around the world. Music is my primary art because it provides me with an outlet and I have a passion for expressing my thoughts through lyrics. Currently and in the future I will create media arts because the power of a story is infinite and stories are what tell us how to solve the issues of our world. I am a firm believer in their importance because without perspectives we are lost.
