LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF IN PROGRESS ARTISTS

In 2023 In Progress will pilot a mentorship program for younger artists interested in developing their creative artmaking and leadership skills at In Progress. IP artists Aaliyah McQueen, Tiana LaPointe & Kristine Sorensen will work with youth to support them in:

• producing digital artwork

• developing a community of support with other youth;

• and for some, moving into roles of program support and leadership at In Progress.

  Participants will receive training in digital production techniques, public presentation, and creative artmaking. As the program continues to grow addtional skills like planning, organizing and teaching techniques. will also be offered This first group will be limited to 10 and will be selected from young people previously connected to our McDonough Young Stars, Rain Watcher projects and other past program activities.

DATES & TIMES

Activities will run 1-3PM on Sundays on the following dates:

• Sunday, March 19th, 1-3PM

• Sunday, March 26th, 1-3PM

• Sunday, April 2nd, 1-3PM

Additional sessions will be scheduled with the group following these first 3 sessions, still expected to take place on Sundays from 1-3 PM/
