Please join us Saturday, August 30th as we embark on a heartfelt storytelling series honoring the experiences of African immigrants living in Minnesota.
This session is designed to evoke the comforting spirit of village gatherings during times of conflict—where elders would share stories, drums would echo through the night, and younger generations would find peace and strength in the wisdom passed down.”
The stories touch on immigration, the stressors immigrants often face, and the connected bonds that still exist between Africa and life in the United States.
We invite you to join us at 5:30PM for a little food, and good conversation before we begin our formal presentation at 6PM.
This event is free but please RSVP at the link below so we know how many to expect. The audience is limited to 30, so priority seating will be given to those that RSVP.
Conversations is led by IP artists Raina Outun and Teku Nijtka with support from Robin Perez.
