WISE is hosting a Senior Retreat designed to support our high school seniors as they prepare to transition into college this fall. During this retreat, students will engage in hands-on workshops and activities that will help them feel more confident and prepared for the next step in their academic journey.
The retreat will cover essential topics such as college planning, understanding financial aid and student loans, registering for fall classes, setting up school email accounts, and learning how to write professional emails to professors. Students will also gain skills in reading a syllabus, navigating their student portals, and discover the free resources on campus.
In addition, the retreat will focus on building social and communication skills to help students feel more connected and supported in their new environment. By the end of the retreat, students will also have the opportunity to complete items on their senior checklist before summer ends, familiarize themselves with navigating college portal, and be ready for college.
