QUARANTINE CURRICULUM / FL STUDIO 101
In Progress artist Gonkama Johnson has pulled together 10 introductory lessons for aspiring sound engineers wanting to learn the ins and outs of FL Studio . He reviewed several sites, and determined the following lessons would ground most of our artists in some clear foundations in crafting new sounds in the digital era.

Biography
Gonkama Johnson grew up in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Gonkama has self taught himself various DAW Software in 6th grade. As a kid Gonkam figured out how to record audio on tape by pressing record and play. Being adept at technology allowed Gonkama to transfer that knowledge into working with DAW software. Gonkama first started working with the DAW FL Studio in 6th Grade, inspired by a neighbor in an adjacent apartment complex. His love of Hip Hop came when he first saw and herd his cousin beat box in the stair well of their Public housing complex, a place where a lot if Liberian kids got together during the day while their paretnts were at work.
Gonkama's first music project came in the early years of High School using the DAW Software Acid Pro. His first Hip Hop performance in a venue was in His early college years at a venue called The Red Sea, which is located in the Cedar-Riverside Neighborhood of Minneapolis. Gonkama also curated this event. Since, Gonkama has performed in various venues with one of the last being in San Diego, California.
Gonkama has experience in a classroom, being a teaching assisntant for about 4 years, while also teaching Hip Hop classes at various locations including Anwatin Middle School and Arts Us.
