Having this exhibit at the Fournet gives people an opportunity to see Crookston through the lives and experiences of its Latino community. These photographs and stories remind us that Latino families have been part of this community for generations—working, raising families, serving others, and helping shape the place we call home. It is important that these stories are seen, remembered, and recognized as part of Crookston’s history. — the artists of Studio 110

THE Fournet Art Gallery

The Fournet Gallery is in the Historic Fournet Building at 101 North Broadway in downtown Crookston, occupying the second floor atrium of the 1885 building. It operates in partnership with the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council. The gallery presents rotating exhibitions of individual regional artists, showing one artist at a time. Recent exhibitions have included contemporary paintings on themes of spirituality and interconnection, and observational drawings of daily life. Parking and admission are free. Artist receptions include live music, refreshments and artist participation, with discussion of their inspirations and processes. The gallery also hosts yoga classes held within the exhibition space. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with exhibits rotating periodically.
