biography

Jeremy J. Gardner is a multidisciplinary music artist and studio supervisor of the Ojibwemowining Digital Arts Studio at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet, Minnesota. As an experienced educator, producer, and performer, Jeremy brings a deep commitment to community-based digital media and a passion for creative expression through music. He has been instrumental in shaping the vision and structure of the Ojibwemowining Digital Arts Studio, helping to build its foundation and programming from the ground up.

With more than a decade of experience producing video content, mentoring youth and adults, and composing original music, Jeremy is a vital leader in Minnesota’s creative arts landscape. His work focuses on elevating Indigenous voices, supporting the next generation of artists, and fostering inclusive spaces for creative development. In his role as a music mentor for In Progress, Jeremy continues to advocate for expanded music programming that is culturally grounded and technologically advanced. He is also a frequent collaborator with artists, educators, and community organizations across the state through workshops, residencies, and live performances.

QUALIFICATIONS

Jeremy is proficient in professional music production software including Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. He has advanced skills in hardware-based music creation using tools such as the Akai MPC and Korg Volca Sample. Trained in classical piano and analog keyboards, he brings a strong musical foundation to his work in digital and live production.

He is highly experienced in studio operations, including hardware routing, equipment maintenance, and instructional design for audio production. Jeremy has served as a music mentor for In Progress and currently manages the Ojibwemowining Digital Arts Studio. He has led workshops and residencies throughout Minnesota and has performed live at venues across the state. As a video producer, he has created a series of short-form digital stories for Duluth-area businesses and community organizations, integrating narrative, sound, and visual storytelling.
