BIOGRAPHY

Xee Her is a dedicated Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with the Ramsey County WIC Program, where she provides direct support and guidance to new parents on the importance of breastfeeding. Deeply committed to the health and wellness of her community, she is currently working on a specialized project with the Hmong Breastfeeding Coalition. Through this initiative, she aims to raise awareness and provide culturally relevant education about the benefits of breastfeeding within the Hmong community.

A visual storyteller at heart, Xee uses film as her primary tool for advocacy and education. She believes that visual media can be both informative and emotionally engaging—allowing viewers not only to absorb essential health information but also to connect more deeply with the subject matter. Whether she’s behind the camera or editing footage, she is passionate about using film to amplify messages that matter.

Her background in visual storytelling complements her role as a counselor, making her outreach efforts more impactful and accessible. By combining health education with creative media, Xee brings a unique and powerful approach to community health engagement.

Qualifications

Xee is experienced in operating DSLR cameras and uses her skills in photography to visually document stories that matter to her community. She has developed strong writing abilities, allowing her to communicate important messages with clarity and cultural sensitivity. In addition, she is skilled in screenwriting and enjoys using visual storytelling as a tool to educate and engage her audience—especially on topics like breastfeeding within the Hmong community.
