Biography

Tyler Hurdle is a self-taught digital artist, animator, and game developer originally from North Dakota and raised in Minnesota. A graduate of Coon Rapids High School, Tyler initially pursued formal training in animation at the Academy of Art University. However, after a semester, he recognized that the curriculum did not align with his hands-on learning goals and decided to forge his own path.

Since then, Tyler has built an impressive portfolio through independent study and contract work. He taught himself the core principles of animation and ventured deeply into game development using industry-standard platforms such as Unreal Engine and Unity. Over the years, he has collaborated with indie studios and individual creators, developing features and content that have been integrated into small-scale games. These experiences have not only strengthened his technical capabilities but also helped shape a diverse body of creative work.

In addition to game design, Tyler is exploring the convergence of animation, music, and visual effects. His passion lies in creating immersive digital experiences that blend storytelling with interactivity, pushing the boundaries of animation and sound design.

Tyler is proficient in both Unreal Engine and Unity, with hands-on experience in game development and feature creation for small indie projects. He is skilled in 3D animation using Autodesk Maya, as well as 2D illustration and concept art.
