Biography
Jacylynn Jones is a dedicated community member, parent, and advocate for the arts who has been a vital part of the North End neighborhood in Saint Paul for over a decade. Since 2012, she has actively volunteered with In Progress, contributing her time, insight, and lived experience to the development of meaningful arts programming that centers community voices—particularly those of youth and families in her neighborhood.
Jacylynn brings a unique perspective to her work, one that blends parental insight with a strong belief in the transformative power of creative expression. Her advocacy has helped shape programming that reflects the needs and strengths of North End residents, and she continues to serve as a trusted bridge between families and the organization.
In recent years, Jacylynn has also begun exploring filmmaking as a personal and artistic outlet. Her work focuses on themes of grief and healing, drawing from her own experiences and a desire to create space for others to reflect and process their emotions. Through these deeply personal projects, she has emerged as a powerful new voice in community-based storytelling.
