BIOGRAPHY

Phoebe Josephine has always loved singing, writing, and performing. She plays the guitar and has some experience with the keyboard, but often writes melodies with her voice. She is a poet and loves creative nonfiction; she often writes about her own experiences, turning life into stories to look back on. Phoebe has imagined creating an album using a storybook format—one that includes diary entries, poetry, songs, and visuals.

Phoebe wants to provide an honest and unique perspective on living through the 2020s—pandemic, wars, genocide, ICE, climate change—and give community a way to express the incredibly difficult and complex ways we are feeling. She also hopes to spread a special kind of joy with music that discusses and reflects queerness, friendship, sex, and solidarity, specifically with Black disabled queer people.

She envisions a musical world of fantasy, beauty, grief, nature, and love.
