QUARANTINE CURRICULUM / MARK IV CAMErA oPERATION

In Progress artist Tomas Leal has pulled together 15 introductory lessons for aspiring photographers. He reviewed several sites, and determined the following lessons would ground most of our artists in some clear foundations in crafting photographic images in the digital era.

Tomas Leal is a commercial photographer with an expertise in portraiture and event photography.  He is a founding artist of In Progress having started with the Fresh Voices program in 1996.   Tomas now leads In Progress's Family Portrait sessions, photographing hundreds of families each year.  

Tomas Leal is well known for his technical expertise and understanding of the practice of lighting.   He currently teaches adult artist in our NEXUS program and mentors youth and adults in camera technique and lighting.

He was recently awarded a grant from the Knight Foundation to curate a series of visual arts exhibits in lowertown Saint Paul in Spring 2018.
