BIOGRAPHY

My name is Susanna (Susy) Morales (she/her/ella). I am the daughter of Vilma Morales Garcia and Alfonso Monterros Morales. I am my grandparents' wildest dreams. I am made up of my family’s stories, dreams, food, joy, music and love. 

I started at In-Progress to develop technical skills to tell my story and my family’s story in a creative way. Learning technical skills of photography opened up avenues for me to be curious and engage in various creative forms. I enjoy strengthening relationships by offering my loved ones photographs an opportunity to be themselves and embrace their goofiness in a photoshoot.

As an artist, I bounce back between photography and visual arts. I enjoy grabbing friends and scheduling fun photoshoots as much as I enjoy transforming my reflections and experiences into watercolor paintings. In the future, I plan to follow what brings me joy and continue working on pieces that bring my body and spirit happiness.
