Sana Nur

Sana Nur is a newly developing videographer, photographer, and historian from East Grand Forks, Minnesota. As a Somali American, she is deeply committed to serving her community, using both her creative talents and his time to make a meaningful impact through volunteerism. Currently an elementary student, Sana balances her academic responsibilities with her passion and enthusiasm for the arts and community service, demonstrating remarkable dedication and focus at a young age.
Qualifications
As a videographer, Sana is learning to tell compelling visual stories that highlight the experiences, challenges, and strengths of her Somali community. She is developing technical skills in camera production and editing while cultivating an eye for authentic, culturally-centered narratives.
In addition to her creative pursuits, Sana is passionate about history—particularly in documenting and preserving the stories of her own family. She believes that understanding the past is essential to building a stronger future and is eager to ensure that the experiences of Somali Americans in Minnesota are recognized and remembered.
