In The Winter of Our Resistance, Azomali Obisakin reflects on growing up with Nigerian and Mexican heritage while navigating the fear, anger, and uncertainty surrounding Metro Surge. From organizing a school walkout to witnessing how immigration enforcement has changed everyday life for her family and calssmates, she shares a young person’s perspective on cultural identity, belonging, and the importance of speaking out.
