Raina Otoun is a dedicated podcasting artist and mental health worker committed to creating culturally informed spaces for meaningful dialogue within African communities. Based on a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by these communities, she designs and hosts podcasts that provide safe, respectful forums for open conversations about mental health. Her work is driven by the belief that addressing stigma and sharing authentic, powerful stories of resilience are essential steps toward healing and empowerment.

In addition to her creative work in podcasting, Raina is a trained mental health professional, bringing valuable experience in direct care, counseling, and community education to her projects. Raina is currently leading a series of conversations at In Progress dedicated to supporting a growing community of African Immigrant artists.
Raina is a psychology student and a certified peer support specialist with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, and holds a certificate in adult mental health first aid.
