BIOGRAPHY

Sara Parhizgari is a media artist with a passion for telling stories not told by the mainstream media. Among her recent projects are Home, a documentary about the experience of immigration, and Say Their Names, a short documentary about the Women, Life, Freedom movement in Iran.

Sara has studied filmmaking and photography at Ryerson University in Toronto and Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.  She is one of the founding board members of the Iranian Culture House which seeks to bring the art and culture of Iran to the Twin Cities. She is also an academic philosopher and is currently involved in creating a philosophical podcast, in Farsi, her first language.
