KingDemetrius Pendelton is an independent “street” journalist focusing on social justice and community issues. Prompted by the frustration of not having his voice heard by government officials in 2013 after his daughter’s death by a drunk driver, his solution was to document everything on video and use it to create awareness. Similarly, his unedited, uncut livestreams of events now ensures that the public can view online protests, community get-togethers, and informative meetings in their entirety.
