BIOGRAPHY

Lucas Reynolds is a multidisciplinary media artist, filmmaker, and graphic designer whose work is deeply rooted in storytelling, cultural preservation, and creative innovation. Based in Minnesota, Lucas began his artistic journey as a graphic artist and photographer, developing extensive experience in photo manipulation and visual design. Over the years, he has evolved into a filmmaker whose projects blend striking visuals with rich narratives, often enhanced by his signature integration of artwork into moving images.

Lucas draws profound inspiration from his Ojibwe heritage, and much of his creative work centers around telling the stories of Native American people—amplifying their oral traditions, histories, and the revitalization of Indigenous languages and culture. Through filmmaking, he seeks not only to inform but also to spark pride and connection among Native communities, while building bridges for broader audiences to understand Indigenous perspectives.

Whether behind a camera or editing on screen, Lucas is motivated by the power of visual storytelling—by the process of working directly with Native communities and the moment of seeing a story come to life in its final form. He believes that the more authentic and imaginative the creative expression, the greater its ability to resonate, educate, and inspire.

Lucas continues to push the boundaries of his media practice, combining his background in graphic art with his passion for film, using each frame as an opportunity to honor culture, elevate identity, and tell stories that matter.
