BIOGRAPHY

Laurette Sebastienne is a multidisciplinary artist, therapeutic sound designer, and intuitive healer whose creative path has been shaped by a lifelong passion for the transformative power of music, movement, and the healing arts. Raised amid the vibrant live music culture of 1990s Los Angeles, Laurette found her voice in youth choirs and punk rock bands, where she began developing her signature blend of musical experimentation and performance art. These early experiences became the foundation of a creative journey that would ultimately fuse sound, spirit, and somatic wisdom.

As her artistry evolved, Laurette deepened her understanding of the body’s energetic systems through intensive study and practice. She became a certified Reiki Master Teacher, rehabilitative massage therapist, and bodyworker, drawn to the visceral connection between sound and the body’s healing capacity. Her pursuit of holistic integration led her to formal studies in visual and healing arts at St. Catherine University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and the Marchutz School of Painting and Drawing in Aix-en-Provence, France, where she was mentored by visionary educators and fellow creatives.

Laurette’s creative and healing practices intersect in the somatic spaces she designs as a holistic health and wellbeing coach. Her sessions often incorporate a wide range of sound therapy tools—including Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, rattles, chimes, and vocal toning—to facilitate physical, emotional, and energetic healing. She sees sound as both art and medicine, a sacred vehicle for transformation.

Her approach is grounded in lived experience and cross-cultural exploration. While pursuing graduate studies in Tibetan and Ayurvedic medicine through the University of Minnesota, Laurette studied in Dharamshala, India, where she met her longtime collaborator, G. Together, they explored the foothills of the Himalayas, deepening their mutual love of natural healing, sound therapy, and spiritual practice. It was there—in a small shop run by a local singing bowl expert named Taj—that they selected their first Tibetan bowls, beginning a shared practice of sound-based healing that continues to this day.

Now based in Minnesota, Laurette runs a private holistic practice while raising two teenagers and a spirited husky. Her work continues to merge healing arts, ritual coaching, and performance in deeply intentional ways—offering others pathways toward wellness, authenticity, and transformation through creative expression.
