BIOGRAPHY
Mai Moua Thao is a multidisciplinary storyteller working primarily in film, photography, and writing. Mai’s work has been supported by community based organizations such as Saint Paul Neighborhood Network, Asian Media Access, Asian American Organization Project, The Southeast Asian Diaspora Project, and more. Mai is a first generation graduate of Macalester College with a B.A. in Media & Cultural Studies and Theatre & Dance. She is an alumna of the Imagining America Fellowship and a recipient of the 2022 Filmscore Fest BIPOC Scholarship.
