BIOGRAPHY
Erica Josefina (Erica Jo, she/they) is a queer, mixed Midwest Chicana with several generations of family connection to the St. Paul, MN, Mnisota Makoce land. She is a house dancer as well as a dance artist with Ananya Dance Theatre and Body Watani, two Twin Cities based dance companies. Her love of dancing (especially street and club dance) brought her to deeper into her love of music. Since 2018, Erica Jo has been studying beat making with Vin and Cassie at In Progress. Her artistry is her healing as it centers stories of collaboration, ancestral wisdom, bright, imaginative futures and a deeper return to self.
