BIOGRAPHY

Becky Vue is an emerging creative whose personal journey has shaped both her voice and her artistic direction. Growing up shy and accustomed to having others speak on her behalf, she has steadily developed the confidence to advocate for herself and express her perspective more fully. Navigating periods of depression became a turning point that pushed her to seek out meaningful connections, purpose, and creative outlets that support her growth.

A major influence in Becky’s development has been her involvement in NJROTC (Navy Junior Reserve Training Corps). Through this program, she has built discipline, leadership skills, and a strong sense of citizenship. NJROTC provided structure and purpose at a critical time in her life, helping her cultivate resilience and self-belief. The experience also opened doors to travel, teamwork, and lasting relationships, reinforcing her motivation to pursue goals with intention and confidence. These lessons continue to inform how she approaches both her creative work and her personal aspirations.

Becky channels her growing confidence into visual storytelling, where she explores photography and video as tools for expression and communication. Her work reflects a desire to document experiences, develop technical skill, and build a creative voice grounded in perseverance and self-discovery. She views art-making as an extension of the discipline and purpose she gained through NJROTC — a way to continue strengthening her identity while contributing meaningfully to the spaces she enters.

QUALIFICATIONS

Becky Vue has working experience with DSLR photography, allowing her to capture composed images with attention to framing and detail. She uses Adobe Photoshop to enhance and refine visual work through digital editing. She also has foundational experience in video production, applying basic filming and storytelling techniques to creative projects.
