BIOGRAPHY

Kao Choua is a documentary filmmaker who works in preserving the Hmong history and cultures through the art of film. Her projects she has worked on are a soul release Hmong ceremony, similarities of Hmong women/girls' struggles, sex trafficking of Hmong girls in Vietnam, and her father's war stories. She is interested in continuing her work in filmmaking about the Hmong whistle language and is also writing her mom's memoir through her mom's words.
