We sing our songs
CIRCA 2007
We Sing Our Songs presents a 10 year retrospect of digital photography representing life on the reservation. The work originates from the Ogichidaakweg Program, a digital arts leadership program for young women living on the Leech Lake and Bois Forte Reservations. This exhibit in particular presents the people of our community walking towards their futures with open eyes, unafraid, and strong enough to survive almost anything. It honors our Anishinaabe spirit, culture, and life as it is lived here and now. Together, the images present the voice or our community and honors creative expression that honors our past while influencing positive change for future generations.
