BIOGRAPHY

Txhee Belinda Xiong is a Hmong-American writer and multidisciplinary artist based in the Twin Cities whose work centers storytelling, cultural memory, and creative expression. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and a minor in Women in the Arts from St. Catherine University, where she developed a strong foundation in literary craft and critical inquiry. Her writing practice reflects a commitment to documenting lived experience, amplifying underrepresented voices, and exploring identity through narrative form.

Her published work includes contributions to the Minnesota Historical Society and the Hmong Museum’s 2022 Digital Zine, where her writing engages history, culture, and personal reflection. Txhee also served as editor for Success That Looks Like Me by Susan KaYing Pha, supporting the shaping of a work focused on empowerment and representation. Beyond the page, she has expanded her storytelling into film spaces, assisting on sets and collaborating on screenplay development with the APIA Film Collective. These experiences have informed her understanding of visual narrative and collaborative production.

In addition to her literary and film work, Txhee co-creates a podcast with her collaborator Tsuab, where conversation and storytelling intersect with cultural dialogue and personal insight. Her creative trajectory continues to grow through long-form writing; she is currently a recipient of the 2023 Minnesota State Arts Board Creative Support for Individuals grant, which supports the development of her forthcoming memoir.
