Chenglen Yang is a music producer and composer based in the Twin Cities who specializes in orchestral composition. Viewing music as a narrative craft, Chenglen approaches composition as a way to build worlds and guide listeners through sound.

He became involved with In Progress through its mentorship program after learning about the opportunity from Malia and his sister, Schoua Na. Drawn to the organization’s focus on artistic growth and access to resources, Chenglen joined with the goal of gaining real-world experience alongside established artists. He values hands-on collaboration and is particularly interested in refining his technical skills through access to professional-grade studio equipment and industry mentorship.

Chenglen actively shares his work through his YouTube channel, where he showcases original compositions and orchestral arrangements. He is currently collaborating with other composers and musicians on a cover album project, further expanding his network and creative range. Alongside these collaborations, he is focused on strengthening his compositional techniques, enhancing his orchestral programming, and developing his personal brand as a cinematic music creator.
