BIOGRAPHY

Yeng Yang is a self-taught Hmong American musician born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. At the age of eleven, he began learning how to play the guitar from his father and brother. He then sought more knowledge and inspiration from YouTube and taught himself guitar. It became a passion of his as he found it to be a great way to connect and bond with others. He has collaborated with local Saint Paul artists such as Alicia Thao, Shawn Mouacheupoua, and TouSaik Unites. Since then, Yeng has been able to perform at The Cedar Cultural Center and Hmong MN Day at the MN State fair. Through collaborations, Yeng has found some new inspiration to also write and sing his own music. One of his goals is to learn more about music production to produce his and other people’s music. Yeng aims to share a piece of himself and an honest connection with listeners through recorded music and performance.
