Yeng Yang is a self-taught Hmong American musician born and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, whose work centers on connection, collaboration, and emotional storytelling through music. His musical journey began at the age of eleven when he first learned to play the guitar from his father and older brother. Inspired by those early lessons, Yeng continued developing his skills independently by studying online tutorials and performances, particularly through YouTube. What started as curiosity quickly evolved into a lifelong passion, as he discovered that music was not only a creative outlet but also a powerful way to build relationships and share experiences with others.

Over time, Yeng expanded his musical practice beyond guitar performance, exploring songwriting and vocal expression as additional ways to tell stories through sound. His collaborative spirit has led him to work with several artists in the Twin Cities Hmong music community, including Alicia Thao, Shawn Mouacheupoua, and TouSaik Unites. These collaborations helped broaden his artistic perspective and strengthened his presence in the local music scene.

Yeng has performed at notable venues and cultural events, including The Cedar Cultural Center and Hmong MN Day at the Minnesota State Fair. These performances allowed him to share his music with larger audiences while celebrating Hmong culture and community through live performance. As his artistic journey continues, he has become increasingly interested in music production, with the goal of producing not only his own work but also supporting the creative visions of other artists.
