Artist Talks
The Artist Talks series invites accomplished artists to share the stories, ideas, and experiences that shape their work. Through presentations, dialogue, and audience discussion, participants gain insight into the creative process, artistic practice, and the personal and social influences that inform contemporary art-making. Convergence
The Convergence Professional Development Program for Filmmakers supports emerging and developing artists in building the creative, technical, and strategic skills needed to advance their work in film. Participants engage in hands-on production, critical feedback, and mentorship from experienced filmmakers, while developing original projects from concept through completion. The program emphasizes storytelling rooted in lived experience, offering space for collaboration, reflection, and the refinement of each artist’s unique voice within a supportive creative community. Final Cut Pro
IP artist Kristine Sorensen will provide an introductory overview of Final Cut Pro editing software covering all the basics from import practices, file management, timeline features, basic color correction and more.
The goal of this session is to introduce new users to the software’s capabilities and to then provide individual tutorials as needed. LEARN MORE
Fiscal Sponsorship
In Progress provides administrative and financial infrastructure for artists receiving grant awards that do not have the business infrastructure to fiscally mange large cash awards. Through this program, artists receive support with grant management, financial oversight, and organizational guidance while maintaining artistic independence. Mycelial Organizing: Care, Power, & Collective Futures is a collective learning and strategy space that builds care & resistance frameworks for community organizers navigating sustained stress, urgency, and fragmentation. LEARN MORE
Pro Registration
The PRO Registration workshop series introduces musicians to the fundamentals of Public Rights Organizations (PROs), including how to register works, maximize royalties, and properly split rights between artists and publishers. Led by leading music professionals Cassie Opia and Jack Ger Vang, participants gain both foundational knowledge and hands-on experience to better manage their rights and income streams. LEARN MORE
Reflective Glass
Reflective Glass is a visual storytelling session led by IP artist Sai Thao. The session explores how images, sound, and lighting capture and convey emotions. In this session, artist will examine how composition, framing, camera angles, lighting, movement, and sound work together to shape meaning and express emotion. Artist will apply these visual storytelling techniques to create a one-minute digital video that conveys a specific emotion through images, sound, and intentional cinematic choices. LEARN MORE
Sony fx6 Cinema camera
IP artist Chue Zeng Yang will provide a straight forward review of the SONY FX6 Cinema camera dedicated to simplifying the technical operation of the camera - specifically related to resets, color balancing, aperture settings, etc.
It is easy to get overwhelmed with this camera as there are infinite settings that allow for cinematic control of light and image, but it is also an amazing production tool for those less oriented to the art of the visual. LEARN MORE
