COLLABORATION, IMPROVISATION & PERFORMANCE

Open Mic sessions provide a safe space to perform works created or works in progress. We aim to host a positive environment for our artist community to be vulnerable and share art. Please come share your talent and/or enjoy the performances! All are welcome to join.

LEAD ARTISTS

Open Mics are led by In Progress artists Aaliyah McQueen and Alicia Thao. Aaliyah is an accomplished writer, arts organizer and poet. She began with In Progress as a youth and has quickly developed her skills to the point she is now leading several activities for In Progress. Alicia Thao is a Hmong American singer-songwriter born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thao is currently in the process of creating her debut album. This full length project will be exploring the sounds of indie, folk, and soul.participation.

PARTICIPATION

Activities will take place at In Progress - 213 Front Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55117. There is no cost to participate but it is expected that those that register , attend each session. Participation is limited so early registration is highly recommended.

SCHEDULE

• Session One: Friday, March 24, 630 - 8PM

• Session Two: Friday, April 21, 6:30 - 8PM

• Session Three: Friday, May 19, 6:30 - 8PM
