Becoming a part of The Collective Mentorship Program requires a dedication to learning from others, sharing your own ideas and the determination to create and excel in digital media. No previous experience is required - we work with artists to remove barriers to participation at all levels.
GOAL PLANNING –participants visit with our staff and develop a strategy for their professional advancement.
WEB PROFILE - participants create an online profile that presents them as artists to the public.
MENTORSHIP - participants receive specialized mentorship based on identified learning needs that are designed to advance the quality and content of their work.
STUDIO ACCESS – participants learn the general operation of the In Progress studio and access program. Once trained, artists may reserve creative time in the building to practice and further develop their skills.
DIGITAL RESOURCE ACCESS - participants work with professional artists to learn technical applications of professional digital art-making tools.
PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT – participants create web portfolios that highlight their work, receiving guidance on content and writing development.
COST - There is no cost to participating in this program, however we do expect those benefiting share and engage with others. We expect participants to create and develop discipline in their art-form and to give back to others as needed.
APPLICATION PROCESS - If you feel this is the right program for you, please apply to the program by clicking on the apply button twoards the top of the page. Our artist assessment coordinator will get back to you once we are ready to get you started (usually 2-4 weeks).

In Progress currently provides access by operating two studios - one in the north end neighborhood of Saint Paul and one in Crookston Minnesota located in the northwest region of the state. Both provide unique opportunities to learn and create with guidance and support. Individual artists seeking to access space and tools must apply to either our mentorship program
Studio 213 / Saint paul
In Progress’s Studio 213 is located in the north end neighborhood of Saint Paul. It offers studio space that includes meeting and production spaces, a music studio, post productions suites and a podcast studio. It is designed for artists of all ages that are committed to learning what it takes to be a creative digital producer in the areas of film, photography, and music.
Studio 110 / Crookston
In Progress has partnered with the community of Crookston Minnesota since its inception in 1996. Today we now operate a digital arts studio and exhibit space offering workshops, immersive arts training, and community activities through our storyteller’s program.
