A journey towards Economic Stability

In Progress has been partnering with Interfaith Minnesota and the Family Economic Mobility Hub to present the stories of families that have benefitted from a new and innovative program dedicated to increasing the stability and economic mobility of Native American families living in Saint Paul. IP artist Nicole Auginash led a team of artists in producing this documentary short that honors the hard wrk it takes to become economically stable.

The Economic Mobility Hub for American Indians is a new, innovative program from the Department of Indian Work and the Montessori American Indian Childcare Center to help low-income American Indian families in Ramsey County to increase their stability and economic mobility. We use culturally-specific family-centered coaching and an Integrated services delivery network approach to reach the whole family. Research has found that families who participate in integrated services delivery are three to four times more likely to experience major economic outcomes than families who use standard social safety net programs.

Since 2023, The HUB has worked with 40 families providing supplemental income, professional coaching and opportunities to connect with other families seeking to improve their economic futures.
