Please join us as we celebrate the photography work of IP artist Angelo Bush. Angelo has been a part of our Collective Professional Development Program since 2018. The reception will provide an opportunity to meet with Angelo and take in some powerful photography of the Rondo neighborhood.

This exhibit was co-curated with IP artists Mary Richardson and Angelo Bush for presentation at Studio 213. The team worked to select and present the following works. Images will be displayed through June 2023 and is available to view upon request.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Rondo Exhibit #01 is a photo project collecting Black life in Saint Paul and the surrounding metro area. I'm delighted to share this project with everyone because I love this neighborhood and the people in it. This photo collection is an amalgamation of things that pique my interest. Thank you Mayor Melvin Carter, Sean Garrison, Kokouka, Kaz Langness and everyone else who was involved in this project. —Angelo Bush

The Independent Photographer is an intermediate level workshop series for emerging artists that are ready to take the next steps towards their professional development. We are seeking 8 participants for this series with an expectation that those that are accepted to the program will commit to the entire process.
