Honoring the beauty of families through the art of Portraiture

Please join us as we push ourselves to explore the art of portraiture while engaging with the landscapes and textures of Crookston and the surround area. Families can register to join us for any or all of the following dates to have photos taken and presented publicly. Those that participate will receive links to their portrait files so they can print or share through social media.

Lead ArtisT

Studio 110 artist Rena Zapata Bouchard will lead this activity with support from Studio 110 artists.

SCHEDULE

  • Sunday May 7th, 2-4PM: Exploring the Textures of Crookston

    Participants meet at Studio 110 and go exploring the textures and landscapes that are within walking distance.

  • Sunday June 4th, 2-4PM: Tîas Day

    Do you have a special Auntie that you would like to honor? Bring her to Studio 110 for a special day of treats and photographs. Auntes will be photographed separately and surrounded by the people they have supported. Have an auntie that is no longer with you? Bring in a photograph and have your photo taken with her photo as an honoring.

  • Sunday July 2nd, 2-4PM: La Familia

    Come to Studio 110 to celebrate family - any way you define it. grandparents, kids, pets, couples, or YOU! Come and celebrate this holiday weekend with our images. Activities will begin at Studio 110 and move to a local park so we can add the fabric of nature’s flowers to portraits.

  • Sunday August 6th, 2-4PM: We Share A Bond - Honoring New Neighbors.

    This portraiture session will bring Studio 110 artists to East Grand Forks to the New Hope Community Center in efforts to strengthen intergenerational immigration stories through portraiture.
